"RABIA
has done very well on the festival circuit with 36 total
awards --- however, none has given us more than the Action/Cut
Competition 2008 Grand Prize Award. Thanks to Action/Cut, our
film caught the attention of a couple distributors, allowing
us to sign with an excellent sales agent.
The awards included Entertainment Partners software, Final
Draft, Frame Forge software, a distribution offer, a
Panavision film package, and most importantly, meetings with
major
Hollywood
players. I am developing a feature and these meetings
couldn’t have come at a better time --- I’m actually
overwhelmed in collecting so many prizes and industry
meetings!
Also, the founders of the Action/Cut Filmmaking Competition,
Guy Magar and Jacqui Bochory are awesome, and have
been very helpful on what the next career steps should be!
